SILK PAINTING EXHIBITION

Museum of Contemporary Indigenous Art of Cuernavaca MAICC Cuernavaca, Mor. Mexico
FROM 3 TO 30 SEPTEMBER 2021 SEED EFFECT

“During the pandemic it occurred to me to do an experiment, which I captured in three" silk murals ", through which I return: to the large format that has always made a strong impression on me, to the subtle canvas that has already accompanied me my obsession with the patterns of my inseparable textile perception. With these three elements I want to evoke the giant and infinite repetition of what a tiny seed can provoke. "

On this occasion Alejandra expresses her restlessness at the moment of life focused on the abundance that she constantly appreciates. She herself relates, "just as the fish in the water does not realize that it is submerged in it, I had not realized that it was immersed in such abundance." That is why the large format of this proposal and the theme of vegetables: the same that evoke the great potential of life that each fruit contains in its seeds and this endless cycle, which if taken care of, it is very likely that we can dispense with the economic system in the one we are immersed in.
